I am trying to fill out the E-Visa application for a Non Immigration O (Retirement) 90 day visa. I am applying in the UK

I am doing ok until I get to the part asking for proof of Health Insurance. I have read in quite a few places that Health Insurance is not required for the Non O visa ?

Can I submit anything else to get me past this point so I can complete the application.

We will be taking out health insurance as we will be applying for a retirement extension but I havent got the policy yet.

Any advice would be appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster seeks advice on health insurance requirements for the Non-Immigration O (Retirement) 90-day visa application currently being filled out in the UK. While some embassies might require proof of health insurance, others do not, particularly if applying from within Thailand. Comments suggest it may be easier to apply for the visa after arriving in Thailand, where obtaining health insurance could be more straightforward.

It's much easier for you to come to Thailand and once you are here then apply for the visa and you don't need to worry about the insurance, also you can find a insurance company that suits you once you are in Thailand. But I can tell you that it's not cheap for health insurance

Indeed. Dutch Embassy required a Health insurrance for my first 3 Month Non Imm O Retirement Visa as well. (I have already a good home health insurrance for world coverage and travel ins.) So I changed my application into a 60 Days TR visa and will apply for the Non O in Thailand.

Careful what you upload instead of what they ask you for …as I did that last week (uploaded a note saying “Not applicable”)and they emailed me back saying please upload what we asked for.

Your application has now gone to the back of the queue!!!

the queue in the UK is 2-3 days so no big deal

What Embassy/Consulate are you using?

that's not an embassy. When you started the application you picked which country and embassy you would send your application to. This website is for most of the world.

Yes but what country are you applying from?

Some embassies require it, as they are allowed to add their own requirements.

You can try uploading an image that says "not applicable" and if they don't like it they will email you for additional information.

If you get the non-O inside Thailand then you can know insurance isn't required, but from an embassy it might be a requirement.
