Can my wife and I use a joint bank account to apply for a non-immigrant O retirement visa for Thailand?

My wife and I are UK citizens but reside in Spain and will be applying for non immigrant O retirement visas, which I believe we apply for through the Thai e-visa website portal.

On this website it states 'please check with the relevant embassay/consulate's website for specifically required documents'.

I have looked on the website for the Thai Embassay in Spain and there is no option for non immigrant O visa, only an O - A retirement visa which does not apply in our case.

I was looking to try and establish if a joint bank account showing enough money to cover both of the 800,000 baht (1,600,000) equivalent in Euros, would be acceptable for the application or does it have to show separate accounts for my wife and I.

Does anyone have experience of this?

Thanks in advance.
Summary so far
The poster is a UK citizen residing in Spain, seeking to apply for a non-immigrant O retirement visa for themselves and their spouse. They note a lack of information about this specific visa on the Thai Embassy's website for Spain, only finding details on the O-A retirement visa. They query whether a joint bank account can be used to meet the financial requirements of 800,000 baht (or 1,600,000 baht collectively) for the visa application.

As long as you have double the funds you should be OK, they look on joint accounts as belonging

to the account holders

When you get to applying this is the option you want

Sam Lloyd it might say for someone not wanting to stay longer than 90 days. That's because you can do the 12 month extension based on retirement etc after you arrive.

OP
Lynnette Munoz Hi Lynnette, I had a look and the only ones on the Thai Embassy Madrid for 90 day were for 'B' and 'M' but from another reply it seems I'll find the correct option when I go on to do the actual application.

Thanks again for your response.
