What's the latest updates on the land borders with Cambodia?

Are there 3rd Country Passport crossing/using those Borders and are they able to get the full 60–Day Visa Exempt Stamp?

It seems that there are limits to specifically: Cambodia Passports making an overland crossing into Thailand only at the land borders which will get limited to 7 Days Stay (Visa Exempt Stamp), but if Cambodia Passports make Entry into Thailand via air at an Airport, then they still get the full 60 Days (Visa Exempt Stamp) and the same seems to apply for Thai Passports into Cambodia

Again, the question is about other foreign passports, but, personally, i would just use the land borders with Laos at this time

Also, it is important to note the change in operating hours (when land borders open and close) for the land borders with Cambodia at this time

FYI, Grand Adaman Sea Pier is open and offering 60 day entry on VIP fully covered speed boat... The last 2 Visa Runs were a breeze, so this might help to offer an option. I have received a few varying answers to my many inquiries while at the Ranong border, but one Agent mentioned that a foreigner can receive 4 land crossings with 60 days entry per calendar year. Could one of the Admins please clarify if that this is factual. Thanks!

Hi Tod , I will have been in Oz for over a year by my return , and plan on getting a12 month type " O " visa based on being married to a Thai to return ..I understand I will have to do border runs every 3 months ...from Huahin my nearest would be Kanchanaburi, I heard it's a simple enough process there , but need to confirm my 3 border runs are allowed to be all " land crossings " ? Tks Tod

Are border runs limited to 2 per calendar year?

I've heard that limit is only for land crossings, and border runs *by air* don't have that limit.

Quick question. Currently I am on my first 30 extension for my Visa. The stamp says that I must leave the country on the 23rd of this month. Is it smarter to fly to Vientiane or is it smarter to do a land crossing to Vientiane. As far as I know, you are only allowed to fly out and then come back in and get 30 Visa which can be extended for a further 45 days. I was told that a land crossing only permits you five days, once you come back in the country. However, somebody else told me that you can get 90 days, by doing your land crossing as well. Please help me discover the appropriate way to handle this.

Hello :) Australian here. I just wanted to ask for some information about the land crossings per calendar year. I apologise if I'm not using the correct terms! This year I have entered once by land via Myawaddy/Mae Sot for a visa exempt 30 days (after being on the first visa exempt 30 days via the airport), and once via Savannakhet/Mukdahan by land with an approved 3 month non-B visa. Is it possible to exit and enter via land this year for a 2nd land crossing visa exemption? Or does the Savannakhet crossing with a non-B visa also count? I hope I've explained clearly, and I hope someone can provide advice! Thank you so much :)

What seem to be the safest land crossings to be allowed entry for those that have been in and out of the country many times throughout the year? No previous land crossings and American passport.

Ok I can only try and explain what I think has happened.. So I came out to Savannakhet 2 months ago was refused a setv on the minor technicality of proof of funds, fair enough the guy said Everything is ok just show funds..Just to went back to Thailand on exempt as I have not used my 2 calendar year land crossing, all good arrived today with copious amounts of statements in all shapes and sizes lol..the guy took one look at the passport and said I can't apply for a tourist visa again didn't even look at the docs I was told to bring..I asked and asked something wasn't right he couldn't give me a straight answer... I rechecked my passport and seen I had and extra used stamp on a old setv... they made. A mistake somewhere maybe on my last entry to Thailand and he as not willing to deal with it..or something else..? Anyone have the slightest idea what's going on here.i will post a picture of what I think could be an issue ...

The issue now is I have used my 2 land crossings through no fault of trying to get a visa..got caught in the mess when Vientiane started the online bookings,, I have been out of the game for a bit as I went back to U.K for a bit..got a tourist visa easy in the U.K. just used the online service so was...happy...all responses very welcome as I'm lost,On the plus side I still have thirty days in Laos to find a solution... cheers sorry for the long essay..really need help.. I was offered to exchange $s for a transit visa but I'm not willing for something like this, is a transit only 30 days anyway?

A quick question about a bounce and back at Phu Nam Ron. Re entering to get a new exemption, US citizen, first land crossing this year. When reviewing experiences of others, it seems most everyone rides in a chartered van for the trip in and out of Myanmar. Is this advised over taking a privately owned car?
