My daughter (22), a dual Thai and Australian citizen will be graduating about this time next year (2026) from an Australian University.

To attend the ceremony, we would need a visa for my Thai wife (we are all permanent residents since 2010 in Japan, legally married for 25 years).

People (former colleagues from my employment before I retired) with Thai wives, were telling me it may take months to get a visa for my wife (she has never been to Australia). We would need a 2 weeks visa for her, I have Australian passport.

Ok can someone help ….I’m trying to sort out a visa for my friend so she can come to Australia from Thailand …for a holiday for a month may be 2 … she has money in her bank account … and I’m going to get her a return ticket back to Thailand … I’ve got hold of a agent in Thailand they are going to charge 35000..bath for the visa and i need to give them bank acc statements proof of income .. proof of anything i own i just want a tourist visa hes yrying to say i need a lovers visa is that true and adivse would be greatfull

Hi all, I'm sure this has been asked many times. I am Australian. I did my tourist, Thai visa online. (Thaievisa.go.th) on the weekend. It says it's pending. How long do you have to wait for it to process? Thanks

Has anyone done it themselves and has anyone used and agent, who and how much. Live in Udonthani so will have to biometrics in Aust Embassy Bangkok anyway so location is not a real issue.

Would I be right is saying my 6 month multi entry tourist visa gets a 2 month stamp on arrival Then I can get and extention for 30 days. When that 30 days is up if I do a visa run it is stamped in for another two months and can get a 30 day extention. Is that how it works

My Australian friends just did a walk out/walk in border run to get another visa exempt 30 days at Mae Sai. It took less the 15 minutes and was a pleasant experience. No requirements at all. It was their first land crossing.

How hard is it to get a Thai national a tourist visa into Australia for a short term stay? Proper tourist and the person will return to Thailand with me, roughly a ~2 week stay but less if I can help it :)

I've read the basics but I'm yet to work out how long it takes and how hard it is to obtain.
