Tourist visa for Australia for my Thai partner. I am sure this has been asked but I cannot find the search button, ๐Ÿค”.

Has anyone done it themselves and has anyone used and agent, who and how much. Live in Udonthani so will have to biometrics in Aust Embassy Bangkok anyway so location is not a real issue.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a tourist visa (Subclass 600) for Australia, it is advisable for your Thai partner to do it themselves without using an agent. They can set up an Immi account online, fill out the application form, and upload the necessary supporting documents. Biometrics can be done at Trendy Plaza in Bangkok or at other specified locations in Thailand. The application fee is approximately A$160, and the biometrics service usually costs around 1,000+ THB. After submission, they should wait for further instructions regarding the fingerprinting and health assessment.

Don't use an agent for foreign visa applications. Many aren't legit and they can't really do much to help anyway.

Not hard and pretty quick. I did it a few weeks ago also for the 4th time.

Once you have set up an Immi account there is a form there you can fill out, print and get partner to sign that allows you to do all the correspondence and they will email you with progress reports and requirements.

As stated biometrics done at Sukhumvit Soi 13. Or in Chang Mai. VFS agents handle it. Appointments made online.

If first time you might only get a single entry/3mth visa. As you get a history it will progress to a 3yr multi entry.

Good luck.

Don't need an agent. Done it three times in six years for my lady. Trendy building for the biometrics

Just done it myself online this year...quite easy. Went to BKK and wife got her biometrics done after booking online. She got her visa approved a couple of weeks after that.

Not Aus Embassy in Bangkok. Most likely to be provide the biometric fingerprint in Trendy Plaza. Cost 1,xxx ++ THB. It is easier to submit yourselves as you need to provide the supporting documents to agent anyway. Cost A$160.

Register an immi account-fill the Subclass 600 form-upload all required documents-wait for next instruction(Fingerprint and Health Assessment)-Grant Notification/Refusal

did you need to get the Thai documents translated into English?

Its actually only 2 or 3 documents are compulsory. The others are optional. Bank Statement, Proof of Employment, Passport Soft Copy.
