Just a Marriage Visa question:

The 2022 Extension of Marriage Visa requires a " Bank Guarantee and Bank Statement " document.

Does anyone know what this means? Is the Bank statement about the B400k that needs to be deposited?

No idea what "Bank Guarantee" means!

On Monday I will go to CW to apply for a 12month extension to my Marriage (O) Visa. For the Bank Guarantee document (and printouts) showing 400k, must these be dated on the same day as the application, or is 2 or 3 days before acceptable? One issue for me is that SCB no longer have a branch at CW and I have to wait for nearby branch to open at 8.30am which causes delay in getting a queue number (assuming there is a long queue). Trying to figure out the difference between 7 and 8, the bank book and a bank guarantee or statement. Do they just want a copy of the bank book?

I am 50 years old on Thursday and have all my documentation ready to take to Jomtien immigration on that day to apply for a non immigrant visa, apart from the bank documentation. My branch of Bangkok Bank does not open until 11 am. Does anyone know if I can go to Bangkok Bank tomorrow afternoon and get the guarantee letter etc as long as I go to immigration first thing Thursday morning? I have read Pattaya city expats club website as recommended here and it does mention this is possible but just wanted to check if anyone has any experience of doing this? My concern is I will not be 50 when the bank produce the letter. Thank you

I have had 400K seeded in my BKK bank investment account for over a year. Last extension to satisfy financials I used the combination method but for simplicity am switching to having the full 800K seeded before my next extension end of March. I have seen various comments about a bank guarantee letter here. Is this a new variation or addition to the bank letter showing accounts balances dated the same day as the application for extension?

I did say I would report back on my extension of stay (retirement) experience in Jomtien imm. My proof of income was the 65k+ monthly variety. My income comes mainly from one pension provider and is in excess of 65k. The SCB gave me the requisite letter and it showed every IFT - about 26 of them over the last 12 months. As I explained before the 65k+ IFTs are credited to my account on 30th of the month but as the 30th sometimes falls on a holiday, the credit shows as the following month. The checker in Jomtien noticed this but accepted the explanation. All ok, then she told me I needed a 'Bank Guarantee' letter. Had to go to nearest SCB to get it - never had to do before. The SCB (soi 11) were well up to speed on the whims of immigration so got the letter after 30 minutes. The ordeal was over after 90 minutes. The place was crowded after 10am - God knows what would happen if someone shouted "fire!"

I'm filing for my non-o visa extension in three days. Today I asked my bank to issue me my bank guarantee. They wrote me the letter, but then also issued 11 pages of printouts of transactions. Do I need to bring this or just the letter? They also updated my passbook. Do I also need to update it on the day of going to the immigration office. Thanks.
