I made a big mistake. I just applied my extension based on Non imm O (marriage) 2 days ago. I submitted bank guarantee letter of total amount of 500k thb which is more than required. Now at this period of time, can i withdraw out 100k thb out for usage but leaving no less than 400k thb inside bank as required? Will it forfeited the guarantee letter?

Can anyone enlighten me please?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about withdrawing money from their bank account after applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa extension based on marriage, specifically whether withdrawing 100,000 THB would affect their bank guarantee letter requirement. Comments advise checking with local immigration offices for certainty and confirm that as long as the minimum 400,000 THB requirement is maintained, funds exceeding this amount can be withdrawn or used without issue.

the financial requirements for a marriage extension based on banked money is that you need a MINIMUM of 400K baht in the bank for 2 months before you apply so anything OVER 400K baht you are free to move or use. There is nothing that says you have to leave the amount over the requirement alone

yeah this i do understand. The issue now is that i submitted the bank guarantee letter saying that i had this 500k amount inside bank. If i move the fund, will it forfeited the letter hence jeopardizing whole extension process. Thats my concern.

nope, has nothing to do with the document you showed when you applied for the extension,it's not any guarantee letter, ๐Ÿ˜‰ that's where you're getting mixed up I think.

All that was, was a short letter from the bank stating your name, your account number and the balance on the date you applied for the extension.

i hope not as the immigration officer kept telling me they need the guarantee letter. Anyway thanks for the info.

if you're overly concerned GO back to immigrations and ask them OR leave the balance alone, I'm telling you what the requirements are

One last time it's not a guarantee letter
@Adrian ******
the immigration office needed the BANK LETTER to get the extension

That letter ONLY stated you had xxx baht in the account on xxx date, nothing more nothing less.

When you go back in 30 days to get the extension inked in update your thai bank book and as long as it's still got at least 400K baht in it you'll be fine.

Good question..

Suggest you ask your local Thai immigration office if you can use up to 100,000 Thai baht BEFORE you touch any of it. Just to be safe and sure.
