Hey everyone!

I have a question about 90 day reporting. Can you do your first report via registered mail? I know I can't do it online the first time but I'm wondering if it's the same for mailing it.

Btw I'm in Bangkok.

We are coming to an end of our 60 day tourist exemption and want to apply for the 30 day extension. We are in Bangkok and am seeing different immigration offices listed. Can someone please confirm which office we need to go to? And also any extra suggestions you may have. We know we need copies of our passport and visa stamp, 1900thb each and a recent passport photo. Also can we apply 10 days prior to the end of our exemption? Thanks for your help! Much appreciated!

Extended my DTV (workcation) today in Bangkok!

The process is very easy and straightforward. I spent 3 hours at the immigration office + 1900 bahts (extensions fees) + approximately 400 bahts for printing/coping.

The documents needed:

- 01 month bank statement (from the bank app)

- Work contract (translated in English with Google Translate) with a part which CLEARLY says that you are allowed to work online and aren't tied to a specific location

- TM30

- Previous 90-day report

- Lease agreement

- Thailand Digital Arrival Card

- Copy of the passport's biopage + all stamped pages

- a 4x4 picture

That's all. You give your documents. They give you a number and then you wait for your turn.

The bureau was full but 3 hours later, I was out with my stamped passport and 6 more months!

Don't let the fear mongers convince you that immigration "hates" DTV, doesn't want to process it or doesn't know how to handle it.

Specific questions for 90-day reporting on a non-immigrant O-A visa.

I’m sure this info has been answered elsewhere, but these boards have been very helpful.

Generally speaking, is my understanding correct that the first time you do a 90-day reporting it should be done in person at the immigration office where you reside, but then subsequent reporting can be done online, regardless of where you are staying at the time?

Is my understanding correct that if you leave Thailand, that your 90-day reporting clock resets from the time you re-enter Thailand on this visa? If that’s true, is there any place online to check when you’re 90-day reporting is due or do you have to essentially keep track of everything on your own based on your last 90-day reporting and/or your last arrival stamp?

And then I have questions on these two scenarios:

1. If I have a long-term lease in Bangkok, but at the time of my 90-day reporting, I happen to be traveling in Phuket, am I supposed to report my leased residence in Bangkok or where I am currently traveling in Phuket? If it’s a hotel in Phuket, does that matter?

2. If I don’t have a long-term lease at the time of my 90-day reporting, and my location has changed since my last 90-day reporting. Let’s say, my first reporting was at an Airbnb in Bangkok, and now I am traveling and I’m in a hotel in Phuket, which I presume would not have TM 30. What would I do in that scenario?

Thanks again for helping the newbie!

Hey everyone, I could use some advice. My 90-day report is due in 7 days, and I just realized I forgot to have my Bangkok landlord file the TM30 when I returned from abroad now 83 days ago. I’ve been in this condo for a year, had two TM30s done before with no issues, but totally forgot this time. My first 90-day report was in person, and the second was online.

I know there’s a 7-day grace period for the report, but I’m moving to Bang Saray on Sept 16 for a month. I don’t know if it makes sense to do my 90-day report in person at the Bangkok immigration office if I can’t get a TM30 for my current apartment. I’m hoping my new Airbnb host in Bang Saray can file a fresh TM30 so I can submit my 90-day report at the Chonburi Immigration Office in Pattaya within the two days after I move in. If the host won’t do it, I could stay a night in a hotel there to get a TM30. Is this plan workable? Will immigration care that I didn’t file the TM30 within 24 hours of returning? Any tips or experiences would be really helpful. Thank you.

I want to ask about your experience reporting 90 days in Thailand via traditional post:

1) How to be sure they actually received my letter and approved report? What type of shipment I should choose?

2) When should I send the letter, which immigration office? Relevant to city? I'm in Bkk.

Hey all, seeking advice for my upcoming move to Bangkok. I'm on a non-O retirement visa and have always handled my extensions in Phuket or Hua Hin. Now, I'll be living with my girlfriend in her condo here in BKK. Could anyone offer insights on:

> TM30 reporting when living in a girlfriend's condo?

> Key differences or things to prepare for when dealing with the Bangkok immigration office for my annual extension?
