Which hospitals in Bangkok or Pattaya will direct bill Tricare for American expats?
Hello, I’ve been following this group for awhile now and it has been so useful. I now have a question for anyone from America who uses Tricare (overseas health care program). Is there any hospital in Bangkok or Pattaya that will direct bill Tricare? I went to one hospital (Bumrungrad) but they said they couldn’t, but with doctor approval they could try and ask to direct bill. Thank you for your help.

There is a TriCare overseas version that is accepted in some Thai hospitals, probably best to contact them. They should have a list of which hospitals in Thailand they deal with.
Also in the Thai hospital is best to contact the billing people them normally can help as well. The regular staff wont the knowledge. Most of these departments have Line addresses.

In my experience they will only direct bill for inpatient care. I could be mistaken but that’s what I remember. I’ve done it at BKK hospital Pattaya

Not in answer to your question but Bangkok Hospita;, Chiang Mai does and the hospital holds regular information briefings for US veterans.
