Bangkok Hospital. They are slightly expensive but they have a specialist cardio until. It will be a quality diagnosis and dealt with very quickly and without waiting.

Yes, maybe slightly more expensive than the other hospitals, but hey! We can’t put a price on our health! I think they are fabulous. Very efficiently run.

I have been to many Thai hospitals and my blood pressure is usually high until I complain that the cuff is too tight. Thai arms are thinner than us fat Farangs arms.

Go to a local clinic and get a blood pressure reading and get meds prescribed if necessary. If you go to a hospital and you have high blood pressure it will be noted and when you or if you get an insurance policy it may be considered a pre existing condition

I’m a current patient of Dr. Arnon Suwanpasak in the cardiology department at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. He is excellent. He has overseen my cardiology care since April 2025 including blood pressure management. He speaks English fairly well and care at the hospital is very affordable.

sort of related question, are you on some type of Thai insurance or pay out of pocket? I have HBP and am on metformin in the U.S. and plan to retire in Thailand. A little concerned about getting insurance at 65.

I was back in the States, when I had a major Cardiac event. 6 months later, still here. I had a nuclear stress test done yesterday. Please don't ignore any heart related symptoms. I did, and the results were not in my favor.

You may first want to get a blood pressure meter to have at home, and test your first thing in the morning to get a true reading. I myself have white coat hypertension which means my blood shoots up at any medical facility I go to. And if I was not going by my true readings at home I would unnecessarily be on high blood pressure meds.

If you have good insurance or deep pockets, go to Bangkok Pattaya hospital. If you are on a budget, Queen Savang Vadhana hospital in Si Racha or Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital in Sattahip.
