I did an Ed visa with a language school for about 1 year from September 2024 to May 2025, I genuinely learned Thai but now my Thai is becoming rusty. What are my options to return to Thailand early next year? I am young and have no job but I have money. Can I go with Elite visa?
Answer summary
The user is seeking advice on returning to Thailand after completing an Educational (ED) visa and is considering the Elite visa as an option. Community comments suggest the Elite visa is a good choice, but the user may encounter issues regarding their Thai language proficiency upon entry. Some commenters note the cost of the Elite visa and recommend acting sooner rather than later to maintain language skills.

If you have an elite visa you will have no issues. You may be asked for a graduation letter from your school, but entering the country you will have no issues.

Five months ago you wanted to do visa exempt entries with extension as often as possible and now you have the money for elite visa. And paying at least 17k EUR for 5 years... it's quite an expensive deal

I'm gonna be blunt to myself. If I'm young and have the money for Elite Visa, I would have already plan to visit this year or early next year and brush up on my Thai. The longer I wait the more I'll forget and confidence level will fall. That's me and I'm not young. 555

You should be fine with an Elite visa, just brush up on your maths, September-May isn't 'about a year'

Oh baby. You are in trouble. They will test your thai on arrival. Even with a new visa. This ED visa is problem. Well of you can speak it will be ok ans let you in. But what a terrible didaster if they deny you. This ED visa they don't like.
