Approved today!! Soft Power - London Embassy 🎉 🇬🇧

I wanted to share the positive news as it’s not too often shared in this group! Today I got approved for my soft power DTV training Muay Thai in Koh Samui (9 month course).

27th Aug: Documents submitted

2nd Sept: Request for additional docs, submitted them the same day

10th Sept: Status changed from ‘pending approval’ to ‘approved’ within a couple of hours!!

Over the moon, I’m so happy and relieved with the outcome. Don’t use an agent, much easier to do it yourself and be in control of your documents. Good luck to you applying!! 🇹🇭

Answer summary

A community member excitedly shares their approval for a DTV (Digital Nomad) visa to train in Muay Thai for nine months in Koh Samui. They detail their application timeline: documents were submitted on August 27, additional documents requested and submitted by September 2, and approval received on September 10. They emphasize the ease of the application process without an agent and share the additional documents they had to provide, including a flight ticket, letters confirming their status in the UK, and financial support details. Comments ask for specifics about the additional documents, gym recommendations, and confirmation of the visa duration.

1. My flight ticket to Thailand

2. A letter confirming I will remain in the UK until a decision is made

3. A letter confirming I understand that I can only work remotely while in Thailand

4. A scan of my photo page of passport and opposite page to show no objections

5. Details and evidence of how I will financially support myself, what I do for work etc

ForgivingLobster5813 Asking for extra documents is a way to see if an application is genuine, so better not send all kind of documents before they ask.
