Hi, I’d like to share my first experience of getting my stay extended on Non-O visa here.
The instruction sheet says rather simply : copy of 2 pages of the passport、proof of 800k baht in a Thai bank.
On the application form : photo 、TM6 (the digital arrival card) are also required.
Other than everything mentioned above, I also brought in :
printed E-Visa,
printed digital arrival card,
TM30,
housing contract,
landlord’s ID, as the owner of the condo,
blue book, the house deed,
bank passbook with the latest update,
the official statement from my Thai bank with the stamp from the bank.
( K-Bank charges 100 baht for that )
However, I was still asked to return on the next day for :
the official letter from my Thai bank,
( again, 100 baht for that )
and again, bank passbook with an update on that same day.
drawing of a simple map to show what roads、landmarks are nearby.
Because of that, I overstayed for one day, there is no grace period and I paid 500 baht for that.
Either at the immigration office or at major airports, you will need to pay 1,000 baht for single return entry, or 3,800 baht for multiple entries.
Even though no written instructions show all documents mentioned above are required, they took in all !
I’m glad it’s taken care of, the staff was helpful、I didn’t have to leave the country for overstay、didn’t need an agent because I want to see how things process. 😃
What a relief, now I can travel to other countries at will and hence today, I bought this cute mug from IKEA for my celebration. ☕️🎉
~PS. Brandon, how many times can an expat extend his stay on Non-O !? 🤔🙏🏻
I bought a BTS day pass until midnight ; but could only use it on the dark green、light green lines. ( pink line to the Government Complex stop isn’t included )
