Hi, I’d like to share my first experience of getting my stay extended on Non-O visa here.

The instruction sheet says rather simply : copy of 2 pages of the passport、proof of 800k baht in a Thai bank.

On the application form : photo 、TM6 (the digital arrival card) are also required.

Other than everything mentioned above, I also brought in :

printed E-Visa,

printed digital arrival card,

TM30,

housing contract,

landlord’s ID, as the owner of the condo,

blue book, the house deed,

bank passbook with the latest update,

the official statement from my Thai bank with the stamp from the bank.

( K-Bank charges 100 baht for that )

However, I was still asked to return on the next day for :

the official letter from my Thai bank,

( again, 100 baht for that )

and again, bank passbook with an update on that same day.

drawing of a simple map to show what roads、landmarks are nearby.

Because of that, I overstayed for one day, there is no grace period and I paid 500 baht for that.

Either at the immigration office or at major airports, you will need to pay 1,000 baht for single return entry, or 3,800 baht for multiple entries.

Even though no written instructions show all documents mentioned above are required, they took in all !

I’m glad it’s taken care of, the staff was helpful、I didn’t have to leave the country for overstay、didn’t need an agent because I want to see how things process. 😃

What a relief, now I can travel to other countries at will and hence today, I bought this cute mug from IKEA for my celebration. ☕️🎉

~PS. Brandon, how many times can an expat extend his stay on Non-O !? 🤔🙏🏻

I bought a BTS day pass until midnight ; but could only use it on the dark green、light green lines. ( pink line to the Government Complex stop isn’t included )

Hi! I was wondering (as a freelancer), I have a contract written in Spanish that needs to be translated for the DTV application. Would it be fine to do the translation myself since I'm bilingual, or should I go through an official translator? The cost with a certified professional would be around $300 to $400 for 7 pages, so it will be helpful to know how did you manage to do it. Cheers!

Hello, I applied for DTV workation visa yesterday at HCMC in Vietnam, I got an email today they requested more documents. Of course they say provide everything in english, but i sent my bankstatement in german language (my bank is in Austria) because there is almost no text on it and they can see the amount of money for the last 6 months and they requested english statement. The problem is I called my bank and they cant do it in english. Anybody had this problem before? They asked for all of my passport page and my CV and details about my current work, this is clear what they want. The other problem is this:

Other request documents: Please provide a business registration document showing the company name, the name of the legal representative, and a company profile that includes details about its history, vision, mission, products, achievements, and a link to your company’s website.

I already linked my company website in the first documents and sent the business registration documents (hungarian and english). Im a sole proprietor in hungary and the company name is my name. I dont have any business name, its My Name egyéni vállalkozó (sole proprietor). And what they mean about company profile, what should i send for them?

Having read all the advice on here regarding 12 month extension of a non0 visa ( for retirement) I went to my local immigration office ( Buri Ram ) and asked for a print out of requirement . I then went home , waited for my money to mature (2 months) and then translated the print out.

Unfortunately for me I had taken my partner with me ( to translate) and I ended up with a print out for documentation to support a Thai wife ( which obviously I don’t have) .

So instead of going back to immigration again I’m asking you learned ppl if u can help .

I have…

Passport and 3 copy’s

EVisa and 3 copy’s and 3 copy’s of passport visa stamp

TM30 and 3 copy’s and partners house book ( where I’m living )

6 recent photos passport size

I will get an updated bank confirmation letter on the day I go for extension

Am I missing anything

Hi, I applied for DTV under workcation category last week. Today, I received an email for interview in Karachi embassy. I earn via Upwork and already posted my personal bank statement and Upwork earning statement. What documents shall I take with me on the day of interview? Please guide anyone who had an interview themselves.

Also, my bank balance and Upwork earning updated from last week (increased). Shall I take new ones issued or just the last ones which I submitted for visa application?

Hi All, I'm currently in my home country and applied online for a Non-immigrant Type O.

Today I've got a request for more documents: *Please upload the bank transaction money in CURRENT ACCOUNT for LAST THREE MONTHS showing your name and the balance, the amount income monthly not less than 65,000 THB or total balance 800,000 *THB*.*

1) Can I provide the entire balance of my portfolio and not the transactions? Because that amount of money is in the investment portfolio in the bank.

*2) (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsor letter) -*"Sponsor letter" - does that refer to the same bank guarantee letter they use to ask?

Hi guys. What additional documents do they want to see for the DTV?

They state: "Please provide details about your current work, including (1) your CV or portfolio, and (2) examples of your work, along with any supporting materials that demonstrate your experience and qualifications."

I am confused: I already provided a letter mentioning that I am a business owner/property manager and manage an airbnb in NYC. I provided the listing and a proof of income for 2024 & YTD 2025. I also provided the documents of my LLC.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!

We are looking at requirements for Non o 90 day visa, it asks for confirmation of legal residence, what document would cover that , I thought the Uk passport which they ask for would have , any suggestions in the UK ? Also health insurance, we have a year travel insurance that needs renewed in September which we will extend easily but I can’t see anything on insurance to cover covid . We hope to complete this week but reading reviews and other questions online the Thai e visa site seems a bit difficult to navigate . Any suggestions/ advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey everyone!

We’re planning to apply for the DTV in Taiwan and would love to hear from anyone who’s already gone through the process.

We’re a couple - one American, one Israeli and we’d really appreciate any insights, tips, or experiences you can share 🙏

Thanks in advance!
