Entered HKT airport in July 2025 for the first time on the DTV visa, immigration officer asked if I was coming in on DTV for the first time to which I politely answered yes.
I stayed for 178 days and exited via HKT for just one day to Singapore and flew to Suvarnabhumi. Planning to fly back to Phuket in a few days.
Re-entered with 40,000THB equivalent cash in my wallet in case I was turned away. Officer processed my passport with efficient precision without a flinch nor a smile and let me through with no questions asked.
I was in the priority queue and had a business class boarding pass. Not sure if this had any impact, but another data point.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a user's experience re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa via Phuket International Airport. The user successfully entered without issues after staying abroad for a day, noting they brought 40,000 THB in cash as a precaution. Comments clarify cash requirements specific to visa-exempt tourists and express varying degrees of concern about re-entry policies. There are references to other users' experiences, highlighting that experiences may differ by entry point.
I don't understand why everyone is worried about entering using this Visa lol They literally granted it to you after your paid for it, It's your right to enter. Period.
The only person who has reported a problem entering with a DTV came in via Phuket. The immigration there has started a campaign which shouldn't affect visa holders, but unfortunately, it is. The 20k baht cash is a requirement for visa-exempt tourists. You have already satisfied the financial criteria when you applied for the DTV.
