Can tourists apply for a DTV visa through the Thai embassy in Taiwan?

I applied as tourist, not a resident, just on tourist visa. Applied through soft power-Muay Thai on the 15th July, 16th asked for extra documents and clarification which wasn’t as issue. 20th, moved to “pending approval” and I’m still waiting as of now. 17 business days in

I submitted on 12th June and got Dtv approved on 8th July. The important documents were 3 months bank statements and explain about your income. No interview just need Patients. Good luck 👍

AdventurousMouse955 Tourists can apply, I did but 18mths ago when it was in person same day approval. Approval now is around 15 business days

Hi I did it - 1. yes. 2. They do need to see documents proving monthly income to your bank account. Interview wasn't the most pleasant, but I got a taiwanese interviewer who is very much the attitude of - please don't be a criminal so this come back to blow up in my face. 3. they review docs fast but I waited 10 days for interview 4. It's straight-forward beauracratic. Have all docs ready and expect interviewer to be suspicious why you would want to live a life of your choice, in Thailand. Make your own choices as a human being instead of staying put in your original country and suffer.
