Appointment booked via online system for extension of 60 SETV. Good.

The docs list shows the need for tm30, some sources say not but I want to be fully prepared.

We have tm30 as shown in the picture.

Question is, is this the cert they need or do I need to access somehow and download a full certfiicate for us both?

TIA

Can anyone advise please, I arrived in Thailand April on a SETV and extended it once, tomorrow I go to Penang for 5 days and then plan to return to Thailand on a 30 stamp and then extend it then return back to the UK before the extension ends on a flight in September which is already booked.

I’m wondering will they ask me for proof of onward flight out of Thailand before the 30 days ends because I don’t have one?

And will they accept my onward flight to UK before 60 days and explain I want to extend it one month.

Any help will be appreciated.

Just did my SETV 30 day extension in Chiang Rai.This is MY experience so YMMV. I am American and it was my first extension in my passport

Thank you. The search feature worked a treat and James post was spot on. I got what was supposedly the evil meanie female immigration officer according to that forum full of whingers. She was lovely as I had everything in order and paper clipped neatly together for her. Pro tip box of paper clips is 9 baht at Big C.

I provided two coppies of Passport Front page in Color and Black and white. She chose to keep a single color copy.

Two copies of the current Visa and Stamp pages. She only kept one.

Two copies of the TM6 with front and back. Again only kept one.

TM7 form filled out completely. Watch first page as it has items on back to complete. I missed these and she just had me fill them in while at her counter.

Two passport type photos. Again they only kept one.

Make sure you sign each photocopy you provide. In and out in less than 30 minutes.

If you arein Chiang Rai This copy shop was very hepful and only charged me 30 baht for the service.

Again Thank you all for the great information and effort you display.

My wife and I will both need to extend our SETVs in March in the Krabi immigration office. Do we both need to go, or can just one person go and bring the other person's passport and fee? Thank you for the information.

So I got a new US Passport at my embassy here. I came into the country on a 60 day SETV I was hoping to extend to 90. The US Embassy gave me a letter to help me transfer the old visa to the new passport, but I am reading conflicting info online about if that's even necessary. Is it? And if so, where do I go to do this and what form should I use?

I am looking into doing my first ever TM30 reporting saga (Registration web site detailed by Todd in another post appears to be down)

I am awaiting my Thai Elite application to be verified so going forward I think it would be best for me to report using the online system (My landlord is completely unreliable) as I am an Oil and Gas Worker who travels regularly.

In the meantime, I am here on a SETV which I plan to extend next week well in advance of the end of the 60 days validity (August 25th). I read a post here that the TM7 form has been updated so expect I will have to fill that out again at Chaeng Wattana but I was wondering if I am likely to be asked for TM30 when I apply to extend my SETV?

Should I try to self file and bring it with me using Todds self reporting with no Landlord documents?

Thanks in advance as usual

I've looked for awhile...does anyone have a list of immigration offices *that you can extend an SETV for 30 days*? I've found one list, but the internet refused to translate it into English for me. In particular I'm trying to see if this can be done in Ayutthaya. ((I'm flying into Thailand on the 3rd, just trying to get my ducks lined up before I get there!)))

Hello. I have a few questions:

1) My landlord did a TM30 for us when we arrived. I will be stamped for my Non-B on May 17th. It has already been approved by Chaeng Wattana, however they don't stamp same day anymore apparently. Does a new TM30 need to be completed for me at any point after my visa changes?

2) My husband will be doing an extension on his SETV while we wait for my work permit, so we can switch his visa. Does a new TM30 need to be done for him?

3) When we do the extension for my husband, does it need to be done with a certain amount of days left on the tourist visa or can it be done up until the last day? Does he need to take proof of funds or onward travel with him to Chaeng Wattana for an extension?

Thank you! 🙏

Just to confirm --

(1) even though I got our SETVs for the entire family by myself, in order to do 30 day extension at Chiang Mai immigration, the entire family needs to go, correct?

(1a) My understanding is that the 30 day SETV extension is a short wait at immigration - so short that I could take the kids in at 3:30 on a Friday and potentially still be seen that afternoon?

(2) regarding overstays for children, after the expiry of our SETV, we have a few trips planned where we'll return on exemption stamps and, if we decide to stay longer, will look at an ED visa. Am I reading correctly here that many people let their children overstay, and I would neither need to ensure that we all left for runs to get new exemption stamps nor would I need to worry about finding an ED visa that would also process O visas for the kids? I'd obviously rather do it proper, but if I could justify a few kid-free vacations to get fresh stamps, I'd rather do that :p

Thanks!
