Has anyone had the experience where they got the DTV on their new passport but are still using their old passport as it still has space. What was the procedure when arriving in Thailand?

Hope this helps others.

We are from the UK and we’re went to Vietnam so was unable to get a visa at short notice so we landed in Bangkok on the 2nd July, passport was stamped for 30 days. We want to stay longer so we thought we would go to the Immigration Government Building in Bangkok but it was the wrong place. We were told to go to the IT Square Laksi Plaza and go to the 3rd floor. Link below.

We had to fill out 3 forms which they gave us and you need to have a photocopy of your passport and the page that had the stamp of when you arrived plus a passport photo that they can stick onto the form. They didn’t ask any questions we paid 1900 TB. That was it we now have 60 days in Thailand. It took about 2 hours in total and they shut for lunch between 12 and 1 so we had lunch on the ground floor. You can get an appointment booked online but they get booked up. They do have a photocopier and a photo place in the waiting area. We are so chuffed that we have managed to get 60 days.

I have just replaced my UK passport here in Bangkok. I have a 60 day covid extension visa in my old passport. I will leave Thailand on 1st March before it expires.

Do I have to go to immigration to transfer my visa into my new passport? Or can I just show both passports when I leave Thailand? Thanks

Had to transfer my stamps from the older passport to the new passport and went to CTW, done in 15 minute with one 2 queue before me. Then trecked to the MTT for 90 days reporting with new passport and that took only 15 minutes. The entire two processes done with less than an hour. The journey round trip from Sukumbit to both offices took longer than the actual process. Staff were very friendly despite all the rain outside.

Hi, not strictly a visa question as I'm on the 30 day exemption stamp. I'm picking up new passport from my embassy this week, do I have to have my 30 days stamped into new passport, if yes do I need a letter from my embassy confirming passport change. I live in Chiang Mai. Thank you.
