Can I transfer a visa exempt stamp to my new UK passport in Thailand?

I'll go this week to transfer a visa exempt stamp to my new UK passport.

I have copies of former and new passport, but have these questions:

1) The Transfer-Stamp-to-New-Passport-Form requests TM6, is this now replaced by a copy of TDAC?

2) Is the correct building Chang Wattana - not IT Square Lak Si?

3) Will the new stamp honour the original date?

Thank you, and happy new year!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user asked about transferring a visa exempt stamp to their new UK passport. The conversation revealed that the transfer of a visa exempt entry stamp is generally not allowed; instead, one can seek a 30-day extension in the new passport. The user has a lost old passport with a previous extension and is advised to visit IT Square Laksi Plaza for related issues. It was suggested to bring necessary documents including a police report for the lost passport. Ultimately, the user was informed that they may be required to present their documents at the airport rather than at the plaza for the transfer.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

You cannot transfer a Visa exempt entry stamp to a new passport, you can get a 30 day extension in the new passport, but you cannot get the entry stamp transferred over without doing that.

If you are leaving the country before your 60 days runs out just present both passports when you leave and you will be stamped out on the new passport

And on the rare chance you are going to go get a 30-day extension take both passports and if you're in Bangkok you would go to IT Square Laksi Plaza as that's where everything to do with free stamp Visa exempt entry takes place.

Thanks for the update.

Guess that settles it,

definitely take the photo of the extension to the airport (along with the police report for the lost passport, if you have it)

Best of luck with it

UPDATE:

Stamp transfer at IT Square Laksi Plaza declined.

The agent verified my papers but said I need to present them at the airport on my day of departure. She said immigration is very busy now and can't transfer stamps at IT Square Laksi Plaza.

I don't know if that's 'any' stamps or specifically mine (Visa exempt extension). Also, no indication if this is temporary or long term policy.

I had have the 30 day extension in the old (lost) passport, this is the one I hope to transfer to the new passport before heading to the airport.

I do have a photo of that extension, but I imagine this is not okay to use at the airport.

Thank you

I had read that this is only required for stolen passports in Thailand, and not for lost passports.

Does anyone know this to be confirmed in either direction?
