I have just replaced my UK passport here in Bangkok. I have a 60 day covid extension visa in my old passport. I will leave Thailand on 1st March before it expires.

Do I have to go to immigration to transfer my visa into my new passport? Or can I just show both passports when I leave Thailand? Thanks

Okay, lemme rephrase the answer, IF you recently showed up here on a visa exempt/tourist visa entry, got your regular 30 day extension then got a covid extension and in the mean time got a new passport you can just leave with both

BUT

If you showed up here 2 years ago, got amnesty, covid extensions etc the whole time OR you had any type of Non-Immigrant type visa before you went to covid extension, you need to go get your stamps transferred to the new passport before you leave.

Just show BOTH passports when you go to stamp out of thailand at passport control, you'll be fine.
