Is 3million THB condo rule applicable for individuals that bought a condo before this rule was paased? For exmaple, if someone bought a 5m or 6m condo in 2020 or 2021 but never applied for investment visa by adding additional 5/4m to meet 10m. Would that original purchase will be considered for the new 3m clause or a new 3m purchase post law publishing date is required?

Anyone purchased a condo as an uk expat?

Looking at the DTV Visa for me and my family and property renting or buying in Thailand? Weighing up the pros/cons to both renting/buying.

We won't be able to work in Thailand on that visa, our income will be from renting our property out in the uk.

EDIT....THANKYOU SO MUCH for all your comments it means alot.

Were so ready to leave the uk but just want to do it as best as we can for us and our children.

Keep your eyes peeled for more questions from me soon 😊

Thinking about buying a condo in Bangkok, but as I understand it, it's best to have a thai bank account for the money to pass through. However, I was planning to get a DTV (since I'm too young for a retirement visa) and with the latest changes I understand this prohibits you from getting a bank account (or is not easy anyway). How would I make this work? Is my only option a different visa (which requires more investment)? Or is there some way that if you're planning to buy a condo, you can get a bank account for that purpose?

Hello,

Im an investor in dubai, bought property over 2 mil and have uae golden visa as well.

Im gonna rent the apartment either as direct long-term or short term via a property management company in dubai (renting out on airbnb and other platforms).

I wanna get thai DTV visa. Do i have a chance? As freelancer/self employed? I assume my business will be my property or properties rental in dubai.

The property income will be approx 4-5k USD / month.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

I’ve had a lump sum of £20000 (880k baht) in an Isa for over 6 months would that be ok as showing proof of funds?

Also my only work is hands off property investing through a Ltd company.

Do you think I’d qualify for the visa?

From my research I would but just wanted your input!

Thanks!
