Will immigration transfer visa stamps from my old passport to my new one in Thailand?

simple question, just got my new us passport back from the embassy, with the old one returned as well.  

will immigration put the current visa stamps in the new one if I take it in, or do I just keep both old and new on hand until visa is renewed?

if they do put stamps in, can I do this at immigration in Blueport, or would I have to go to big immigration on the hill?

IF you are on an extension, they transfer the necessary stamps to a new passport.

On the other hand, if you are still on the first 90 days or an entry stamp, they cannot move that. When you apply for a new extension, they will add the necessary information from your old passport to your new passport to grant an extension.

Usually, you need to go to the office that issued the current extension to transfer extension-related stamps.

thank you, I am long time retirement extension guy, so you're saying I can go up to big immigration on the hill, and they will put existing stamps in new passport?

𝗴𝗼 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹, if that's where you got your year extension inked in that's where you go. You usually can't do it at the "satellite immigration offices" <- meaning you go to the main office not the Blueport Mall location
