Hey guys, wanted to inquire something, I recently got my student visa renewed by my university, they gave me an Ed Plus visa with re-entry exemption.
Now, my question is, I am currently doing my internship in Bangkok, and will most likely end up working full time in this company, in this case, I have read that having an ED plus visa means I don't need to go out of Thailand back to my country to apply for non immigrant B visa, apparently the new ed plus visa lets me convert my visa to working visa from Thailand, regardless of which country passport I Haa anyone been successful in doing this? THANKS IN ADVANCE.
Hey ya'll, planning on moving to Thailand later this year once I have more funds saved up, and trying to figure out which visa is right for me.
I'm a chef and plan on going the soft-power DTV route, through my friend's cooking school in Chiang Mai. However, knowing that I cannot work for a Thai company with a DTV I'm wondering if the Non-imm B visa is a better choice for me if I end up working at a restaurant/bar or elsewhere after being there awhile.
Has anyone switched from a DTV to a non-B before? Is there a better way I should go about my plan?
Thanks group for all the insight! Been learning so much from everyone here.
I entered Thailand with a visa exemption and am currently under the covid extension.
Is it still currently possible to get a Non-immigrant visa B to work in a Thai company within the country, or do I have to go out and process the papers at the Thai embassy of my country?
Greetings: I’m planning to move from US to Thailand in January, and living with my girlfriend in Ayutthaya where she owns a home. I can’t determine whether I can arrive on my passport and apply for a visa there, or whether I need to get one before I arrive. Further, the reading I’ve done on Thai visas doesn’t seem to fit my circumstances. I want to eventually generate some income and will want a work visa, so a retirement visa is out. I would like to avoid having to leave every 90 days, and be able to renew in country. I’m ready to just hire a visa service to help me. Love to hear any advice or experiences from those who had similar circumstances.
If someone entered on a TR Visa and had gotten the COVID extension... Is it possible while on covid extension to later transfer to a Non-B for work inside the country ? Or is this not possible while on the COVID extension, thanks
Can you apply for an extension of stay right after you get your non O dependency visa cancelled? If you get say a teaching job before you leave the country, can you get a work visa?
