Hey guys, wanted to inquire something, I recently got my student visa renewed by my university, they gave me an Ed Plus visa with re-entry exemption.

Now, my question is, I am currently doing my internship in Bangkok, and will most likely end up working full time in this company, in this case, I have read that having an ED plus visa means I don't need to go out of Thailand back to my country to apply for non immigrant B visa, apparently the new ed plus visa lets me convert my visa to working visa from Thailand, regardless of which country passport I Haa anyone been successful in doing this? THANKS IN ADVANCE.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Ed Plus visa allows international students to convert their visa to a working visa while remaining in Thailand, without needing to return to their country for the process. This effectively streamlines the transition from student to worker status for those who secure employment during or after their studies.

The Non-ED Plus visa in Thailand, introduced in July 2024, is a non-immigrant visa specifically for international students studying at universities or institutions at the bachelor's degree level or higher. It allows students to enter and exit Thailand during their studies without needing a re-entry permit. Additionally, after graduation, Non-ED Plus visa holders can stay in Thailand for up to one year to find employment or engage in other activities, and they may also be eligible to change to a different visa type if employed.
