Can I obtain a Non-immigrant visa B to work in Thailand while on a visa exemption and Covid extension, or must I apply from my home country?

Hello everyone,

I entered Thailand with a visa exemption and am currently under the covid extension.

Is it still currently possible to get a Non-immigrant visa B to work in a Thai company within the country, or do I have to go out and process the papers at the Thai embassy of my country?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the possibility of applying for a Non-immigrant visa B to work in Thailand while currently on a visa exemption and Covid extension. It mentions that it is still feasible to obtain the visa domestically if both the individual and their employer meet the necessary requirements.

You say you entered on visa exempt and are currently on Covid extension. Did you ever have anything else in between? That will make a difference as well.

Yes it was and still is possible BUT you and your employer need to meet the requirements.

Visit with your passport, a staff member of your employer the local Immigration Office and ask the possibilities.
