Talking about the non o visa for over 50. Can I use this multiple times ?( once a year) Meaning not necessarily to prepare

for the 1 year extension but just for an extended stay ? As I said before I am leaving Thailand ( travelling to Europe) in 3 weeks after a 59 day stay, planning to return after 25 days

On this group there is a consensus I shouldn't have a problem but as you know a recent post of troubles at Bangkok airport is creating me some doubts. I could try a single entry visa, but is this Non O more credible and adapted to my case since I am over 50 ?

I got my DTV Visa! Thanks, everyone, for all the help. Now... I need to get my wife and kids. Question, on the visa they ask for "document indicating current location" for my wife, she has a driver's license from our address from 15 years ago, not our current address (AZ drivers' licenses last until you are 65 so having the same ID even when you move is very common) We do have a water bill in her name. Do you think this will work? Second question, how do I prove this for my kids when they have no ID or bills in their name at our address?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

I’m on the last part of my DTV. I’m 70 and going for medical. I submitted my letter from my doctor in Thailand. They are asking for specifics on my care. The particulars seem intrusive. Has anyone else cone across this?

“Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from hospital/medical center: The doctor's appointment letter should include details about the disease you are being treated for (What is the treatment for? How necessary is it to see a doctor for continuous treatment? appointment date ,time, and doctor's name”

Land of smiles? Not at BKK Suvarnabhumi airport.

History;

2023- 1 x visit of 28 days and 1 visit on VISA for 56 days.

2024- 2 visits of 29 days

2025- decide to travel around Asia for 6 months. Arrive BKK 28/1. 2 months visa exempt and 1 month extension. Visited many cities and places. Then flew to Cambodia and Vietnam for 2 months as never been before.

25/6 - fly back to BKK. TDAC all completed, flight to Europe on 22 July, so less than 1 month.

Immigration woman told me I will not be allowed entry. I asked why not, she said you've just done a border bounce and you're not a tourist! ( border bounce for 2 months lol)

No. No entry. So she called a supervisor, who saw my visas etc for cambodia and Vietnam. Showed him a list of cities and places i had visited, and my return flight to Europe. He asked why i had extended before and i told him honestly, i was going to visit the south chumphon and Hat Yai. He agreed that I was a tourist, and told the woman immigration officer to let me in. He then left.

Her face was like thunder, you could see the anger in her face.

As she returned my passport she said, you're not allowed in Thailand again without a visa!

I know it's IO decision, but with my history and never a border bounce, I find her attitude and decision harsh? Any views welcomed , especially as the amount of people who abuse the V.E and border bounce regularly. Maybe it's these abusers, ruining it for genuine travellers

Hi all! Is there any way an agent could help me to start working? I’m a pastry chef, just wondering if that is something they can do.

Question for Non-Imm O-X holder (I am aware of the disadvantages of the O-X Visa)who hold Visa already for longer period:

The condition of holding funds on a bank account, according to the consulate’s web page, are:

“• The amount of money under (X3) and (X4) must rest in the bank account for at least 1 year before it can be withdrawn. Within the following year, at least 1.5 million THB must remain in the account. The amount may only be spent in Thailand.”

As it says “Within the following YEAR, at least 1.5 million THB must remain…. and not YEARS, does this mean that, after 2 years I could fall below THB 1.5 million?

Wouldn’t make sense but it mentions year and not years.

Has anyone else not been able to fill out the Thailand address section of the electronic arrival card? The fields are there but it will not let me fill them in.

I will be coming to Thailand with either a TR 60 day visa or just a 60 day exemption if the TR expires.

My question is since I already have a Thai bank account and will season it for two months, can I just do the the retirement non-o 1 year visa at immigration or do I need to do two steps?

Get the 90 day non-o visa here or there, then have to get the 1 year extension. Seems that I can just skip the 90 day visa. Thanks

My brain hurts!
