Hi,

I am currently in Thailand on a 30 day visa exempt stamp with an Australian passport. I intend to lodge a 30 day extension at the Laksi office on Friday.

I am preparing a TM.30 through a hotel. I will also have some passport photos and copies of my passport. Is the other form I require the 2 page TM.7?

I’ve searched the history of this group but I have been unable to find a comprehensive answer to this question.

Thanks for your advice.

First 12 months extension question: I have been approved for a Non-O visa. When I go apply for the first extension what documents do I need to bring. It's a retirement Non-O visa .

Hey guys, I’ve had a non O retirement for several years. I gave it up to go work in China for several years. Now I have a tourist visa and I’m going to change it a non o based on retirement again.

I have a question about the correct forms. Do I fill out the TM.7 ? Or is there a different form for converting tourist to non O ?

Tnx in advance

Can anybody confirm these are the correct forms I use for TM.7 and TM.30.

I know they say TM.7 and TM.30 right on the heading. However when I print them out they look a little weird (the heading is missing). Last time I print from home and went to the immigration office, they made me redo the form.

If these are the right forms, what site do I download from?

Got my 60 days Covid visa extension today at Nan Immigration. I got 2 stamps closed within the same day application.

Moved from Bkk to Nan so I had to file a new TM.30. Was asked to provide embassy letter and the usual extension forms TM.7 + STM.2 (they prefer their own forms so don't bother to print out a downloaded version) copies of passport ID page, latest visa stamp, TM.6

Not a very busy office I would say, feel free to walk-in. No need to set an online appointment.

TR Visa successfully extended without embassy letter - Chiang Mai (1st extension).

I'm Italian, Single Entry TR, I got stamped 60 days back in February, then amnesty came in before I could make my regular 30-day extension.

I went to CM immigration office (Promenada mall) a couple of weeks ago and got rejected because of no embassy letter.

Yesterday in this group I read Brett' successful story and decided to give it a try again.

Weird enough, the same officer who last time told me I needed the embassy letter, this time got me in.

Other than the passport, you'd need the following documents:

Copy front page passport (1)

Copy of Visa (1)

Copy of entry stamp (1)

TM.6 (1)

TM.30 (1 copy)

Request of extension form (TM.7)

As I didn't have TM.30 it took me way longer to get that first. But with all the papers in my hands, it took just a bit more than 2 hours.

If it wasn't for this group and especially Brett' story I wouldn't have tried again.

It's a hit or miss. But if you missed it the first time and you are in CM (dunno about other cities), you might want to try again.

Thank you again guys for sharing all your stories.

Hello All,

We have to go to Chiang Mai Immigration to extend our 30 day exempt entry stamps from our Mai Sai border run. When we got married the district office gave us documents to present to the immigration office. When I fill out my TM.7 should I use my maiden name or my married name? My (U.S.) passport is still in my maiden name.

Thank you in advance ❣️❣️❣️

People ask for a check list for paperwork for their yearly extension of stay based on retirement.

It's hard to give a definitive one because of the individual quirks from each immigration office BUT this is 100% accurate as far as the Bangkok Immigration office

A filled out TM.7 Application for extension (the NEW version of the form printed on one piece of paper front & back) with your phone number written above your photo on the back side

Copies of;

-data page of your passport,

-ALL the stamps from your original Non-Immigrant visa and every extension up to the last one (if you changed passports you need that page where they moved your stamps to the new passport too).

-your most recent arrival stamp

-TM.6 departure card

-a hand drawn map of the area around where you live

FINANCIALZ

-bank letter (not more than 7 days old)

-copies of the front page of your bank book and at least pages that show 3 months of transaction history AND the last entry has to show the balance on the date you apply (it does NOT have to match the bank letter, it just has to be over the minimum amount needed)

OR

notarized affidavit of income from abroad letter from your

consulate

You'll need what I call the "three secret forms" (you can't down load them but I have them in the files section of the group); One is titled "statement" and is basically a self guarantee, one is the acknowledgement of overstay penalties, and the last one is the terms of your extension. Most people just sign them when the officer puts them in front of you and have no clue what they're signing. :O

IF you are using banked money there is an additional form that states you know you'll bank 800K for the 3 months before the application.

You sign the bottom of EVERY copy in blue ink.

You MAY need your lease agreement, the thai i/d of the lord, the blue house book listing for where you're renting and a TM.30 receipt <- if you're in an area that requires it.

I can say with 100% accuracy that is what's required in Bangkok because I just had three people use that exact paperwork this month and their extensions based on being over 50 sailed thru without them needing to sign anything OR even talk to the officer at all other than saying hello when they sat down.

Sorry this was long hopefully it was helpful.

I soon have to extend my non-O visa based on being over 50 at Chaeng Wattana.

Last year I did this near 45 days in advance and with an embassy issued affidavit and had no problems, so much easier than the bank account route.

My question / want: I've seen Tod and others in the past give web links for a specific immigration office and the office's requirements for a specific visa / extension.

Could someone please give me the current link for Chaeng Wattana and non-O visa extension based on retirement and where to download the current forms, plus multi-entry?

I have looked on this group and looked on the web but find some conflicting information so the definitive info from the oracle would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
