I have a non-o retirement that I obtained last year, and I'm due to renew or reapply, in Bangkok.

Thanks folks. Noted that I'll be using the TM.7 instead of the TM.87 now.

origiinal question

I'm looking at the Bangkok immigration website and am not certain which form to use. The instruction sheet that I followed last time doesn't really explain how to renew/reapply the next year. The instruction sheet was obtained from that website last year with this name "9.for-retirement-purposes-50-years-old-non-o.pdf".

Do I start all over again with the TM.87? Which I thought was related to applying for a change in visa type, which I'm not doing.

I have an appointment for next week, and I'd like to get all of the paperwork done ahead of time and printed out.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on renewing their Non-O retirement visa in Bangkok, specifically asking about the correct form to use for the extension. Initially confused about whether to use TM.87, they learned from responses that the appropriate form for extending their visa based on retirement is TM.7. Further comments clarified that the extension can be applied for anytime from 45 days before to the last day of the current visa, alleviating concerns about timing.

I suggest that you go to the office where you will extend and get their requirement list first then work off that. Also, get any of the forms you need to fill out at the same time.

Thanks guys. And one more question, is there a requirement to submit the TM.7 more than 15 days before the current visa expires? I saw this wording on the checklist I followed last year, while looking it over today, and realized I'm late if that is indeed a hard and fast requirement. I have an appointment for Wednesday (the 13th) but might go in sooner if every day counts at this point.

, You can apply for an extension from 45 days before until the very last day on your current stamp. A minimum of 15 days before is a requirement for an initial in-country visa application, not for an extension.

The form you need for an extension is the TM7

No, You are applying for a 1-year extension based on retirement/over 50 yo, not a visa anymore. The form for an extension (for any reason) is TM.7.

Check the requirements for an extension carefully.

This is general information for an extension based on retirement, not Bangkok specific. Chaengwattana might require some additional documents.
