Hello everyone,

I’m currently on a visa extension from my TR-60. It will end on March 12. My plan is to stay in Thailand until June and I have a US passport. I‘m planning on going to Laos either to the Thai embassy in Vientiane or Savannakhet. I have two questions:

1. Should I apply for another tourist visa before March 12 or wait until after March 12 to apply?

2. Which embassy (Vientiane/Savannakhet) is easier to get visa approved?

What are the requirements to extend a TR-60 visa if you're married to a Thai national? We have a child together as well.

Hi All,

I was informed that I need a full 30-day to apply for non-o. My courent TR-60 will expire in 2 weeks time, and I need to extend it.

Is it possible to get it extended before the expiration date and still get 30 days more from the actual expiration date at Bangkok Immigration or nearby immigration offices?

TIA!

Did my TR-60 Visa (arrived in Nov) and got 30 day extension until Feb 23.

Can I get also add a 60 day COVID extension before the Jan 25 Covid Extension deadline? ... or would they not accept me applying so early?

Sharing my experience getting a covid extension today (January 5) at Chang Watthana.

I was on a 30-day extension of my TR-60 visa. With that, I was good to stay until January 31. This is the first time I've been in Thailand.

When my number was called and I spoke with the officer, she saw that I was allowed to stay until January 31. She said I should come back later because I still have lots of time and the extension would start from today. I told her it's fine, I have a flight booked home in the first week of March, so 60 days from today is all I need. She was surprised but said all right and issued it to me.

Really, my original 30-day extension was mostly a waste of 1900 THB to get what worked out to be an extra 5 days or so, but I've been stressed out wondering if I'd be able to get the covid extension or not, so I applied for it earlier than planned. You need the 30-day TR extension before they'll give a covid one anyway. Applying for the covid extension so early would have allowed me to make other arrangements if I got rejected.

Things I had but no one looked at: a (refundable) flight booking on my phone, a printout of my TM30, a printout of the isolation requirements I'd be subject to if I flew back home, and an embassy letter.

Also, the officer that gives you a number required me to go downstairs and make a copy of my TM6 and copies of EVERY passport page. The print shop downstairs didn't make copies of every page; guess they knew that was BS. The copy of the TM6 wasn't needed either and I've still got it.

Does Bangkok require 90-day reporting for TR-60 visas? For reference, I have +30 days regular extension + 60 days covid extension.

Hi,

I understand that there are different ways of how Covid-Extensions are processed in different immigration offices and I am wondering about how it is right now in Bangkok.

I am currently on a TR-60 Visa.

1. Do I need to apply for a 30-Day-Extension of my TR-Visa before I can apply for a Covid-Extension?

1. As I understand from what I have read in the group so far: If I apply for a Covid-Extension for the first time, the “Covid-Extension-Days” would be added to the date when I applied and not to the date when my Visa runs out?

1. When applying for a Covid-Extension, I will first get an “Under Consideration”-Stamp and will have to come back later? What date will that approximately be? In one week, two weeks or some other time?

Anyone have been to CW in Bangkok in the last time and have some current info?

Thank you very much :-)
