Did my TR-60 Visa (arrived in Nov) and got 30 day extension until Feb 23.
Can I get also add a 60 day COVID extension before the Jan 25 Covid Extension deadline? ... or would they not accept me applying so early?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of applying for a 60-day COVID extension for their TR-60 Visa before the application deadline. Community members suggest that while it varies by immigration office, such applications are generally accepted if done within the permitted timeframe before the main visa expiration. They advise that the extension is likely to begin from the date of application, not the visa expiration date. Also discussed are the necessary documents and processes for obtaining the extension.

Hi all, what documents are needed for the covid extension?
Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:
1. Your passport and:
a. a copy of your data ("picture") page
b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)
c. a copy of your most recent stamp
d. a copy of your departure card
2. [May not be asked for Bangkok Immigration] A TM30, filed in the immigration office.
3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and want to use their special forms)
4. [May not be asked at Bangkok Immigration] A letter from your embassy saying you cannot return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they donβt issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters. NOTE the βORβsβ.
5. 2x passport pictures
6. 1,900 THB.
You may also be asked for a flight out of Thailand as well.
i did the same thing you are asking about when i was in Phuket. It worked but i had to go back to the same office a month later to get the visa. They will only have your visa under consideration until you come back. So yes you can do it but it may affect your travel plans

You can apply for your extension three weeks in advance, I think 45 days is official.

Depends on the immigration office, they should accept it. Remember though, at most immigration offices, the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 begins on the date you apply.
