Question regarding Thai 2 yr drivers license renewal to obtain 5 year license. I’ve been here 2 years on retirement visa and now time to renew motorcycle and car licenses.

I saw on a YouTube post that to renew my license I need to take an online driving test first while watching a 1 hour video and include the “passed” certificate with my renewal application and other docs. Is this correct? I’ve spoken to others expats who have renewed within the last year or two and they said they didn’t have to do the online test. Anyone renewed recently that had to do the online test first? Looking for input from anyone who’s recently renewed.

Thank you in advance!

Lin Hui, the last remaining Panda in the Chiang Mai zoo died this morning. Anyone who has a Thai drivers license can see Lin Hui at the bottom right of their license. She was very famous and well respected in the country. Rest in Peace Lin Hui.

I had a 5 yr Thai Drivers Licence which expired in May 2020. Could not renew it when it expired because of the pandemic.

I am returning back to Thailand in April with a 60 day tourist visa (staying 90 days) is there an easy way to renew my Thai License and any reliable agents peoples in this group can recommend.

I am flexible to go to any city to renew my license 🙏

Hi guys, need some advice please. I’m looking to get a Thai Drivers License here in Bangkok. I currently have my US Drivers License. Currently on 60 day Covid extension stamp. I read that to convert a US license to a Thai one I would need a “certificate of residence” either from the Immigration or the Embassy. For US embassy it costs about 1500 baht to get that paper on the same day, however there are no appointments available until later next month. I heard apparently it costs about 200 baht at the Immigration.

Since I’m a tourist and not required to do 90 day reporting, can I request certificate of residence from the Immigration? If so, what are the documents please?

I have TM30 and living with relatives.

Thank you 🙏🏻
