TLDR : Answer Summary
When sending money via TransferWise (Wise) to a Thai bank account, the transaction may show different details depending on various factors. Users report that it generally indicates 'international transfer' or similar annotations, but not necessarily personal name and account details. Specifically, if sending funds in certain currencies like EUR or GBP, names might appear due to SWIFT regulations, whereas other times only generic terms are used. It’s also crucial to select the correct purpose during transaction to ensure it qualifies as an international transfer, particularly for retirement visa requirements.

It basically just says international transfer, or transfer.if you have a busy account, you sometimes have to stop and think which transaction is which.

Neither. international transfer only if you select the last option in the purpose list. Living expenses in Thailand from memory, otherwise just show local transfer
thank you for this. I am wondering about that because I just transferred 800k baht to my K Bank account from Wise for getting my retirement visa. I think it says that it was transferred through a K Bank partner so wondering if that will not show as an international transfer even though my Wise receipt shows the US dollar conversion going to my K Bank account. Perhaps I need to transfer again but use the checked reason to ensure it shows "international transfer"?

Mine says Transfer from A/c from Other Bank and that it comes from wise.
I believe it only shows on currencies where Wise gives you bank details, Like EUR, GBP. For example if you have EUR account in Thailand and you send EUR from Wise your name should appear because it’s SWIFT transfer.
In other occasions not because they use partners banks to make it cheaper.

There is a drop-down menu on wise transfer . Gives you option of Funds to use in Thailand ( or something similar) I used that and never had any issues with visa . 🙏

From Wise, better the thai bank is Bangkok Bank as they partner.
no fees from BKK Bank. Just the fee charged by Wise for sending the money from my bank in the US. If I send 65K THB, I think it's usually about $12 US but I'd have to check my account to be certain.
