Hi everyone, I applied for a DTV in Hanoi, but my application is still in pending approval status.

Is it possible to move to a different city in Vietnam while the application is still pending, or do I need to stay in Hanoi until it’s approved?

If anyone has experience with this, please share. Thanks!

After applying in Hanoi with uploading proofs that submission application was there, do I have to wait for Visa approval in Hanoi or can I travel around in Vietnam?

Query on Vietnam and the 2 embassies: I am planning on landing in Hanoi making my application then taking a trip to halong bay or somewhere. Then potentially a trip to phu quoc to chill as i wait out the process if still ongoing. Travelling in two weeks time.

Im reading that provided I have entry stamp and accommodation in the jurisdiction of the application then I am ok. Any experiences here with moving in country while processing is ongoing?

Any feedback on Tet delays? I presume TH embassy will take opportunity to close.

If I go Hanoi for my DTV visa, is it okay to also try and do Ha Giang Loop? Bored in Hanoi but also fear they may want to interview me in person. What do you think? Thank you for your advice!!

Hello! It's been exactly 7 days since I applied in Hanoi (workation) US citizen , my application has been on pending approval for 6 days. I'm getting worried? Any idea how much longer I can expect? I'm itching to leave, love Vietnam but Hanoi is not for me. I understand I have to remain here for the chance an interview is required.

Hi everyone. I am thinking of going to Hanoi to apply for the DTV, because I have heard they are less strict than in Ho Chi Minh city.

But I was wondering after sending the application online in Hanoi, can I go to another city like Da Nang for example?

I ask this because Da Nang is part of the Ho Chi Minh Thai embassy area, so I don't know if I can move around Vietnam like that.

Is it okay to bound from one hotel to another while on dtv visa application process? Im planning to stay 1 week at a time to different hotels in ho chi minh while waiting for my visa to process. Any thoughts?
