hi all,

maybe it's a dumb question but I really couldn't find an answer for...

we have extension of stay based on retirement visa which expires 04.06.20.

we would like to extend it for just 2 months more since we plan to go for a longer period back to Germany.

we know that when comming back again to Thailand we need to go through the hole process again getting a retirement Visa.

...

but my question is,is it possible to leave Thailand before 04.06.20 for vacation (planning trip to Myanmar)and come after that date on Visa exemption for 30 days and do than the 30 day extension🤷‍♀️

just like a normal tourist?

then we would have the 2 months ..

(we ,husband and I have German passports)

sorry for the long post, couldn't explain our situation better...

appreciate your feedback!

Re-entry visa: I'm on single Non-B and reside in Chumphon immigration. Now in Chiang Mai, want to travel to Myanmar and need a re-entry visa for that. Can I get a re-entry visa at Chiang Mai immigration or should I inform Chumphon immigration and get it there? Many thanks

I am a US citizen in Chiang Mai. Soon, I will be flying to Yangon, Myanmar to get a new SETV visa. Do I need to show proof of onward flight leaving Thailand when I apply for my SETV at the Thai Consulate in Yangon? Thanks!!!! D~

Hi everyone, would be awesome if someone could help me: my boyfriend ended his employment with a thai company a couple of days ago. And his first non immigrant B visa (the one for 3 months before you get the 1year one) runs out soon. As he is South Korean (asean group member) he gets 3months visa exemption with every entry anyway.

So would it be ok to do a border run to Andaman Club, Myanmar, with a letter from his former employer stating that he stopped working in Thailand and just comes back for holiday? Or might he get in trouble when he comes back across the border to Thailand? Would it be wiser to go to Penang to get a propper Tourist Visa before coming back?

And we read that the new law about work permits says that once you stop working you have 15 days to let the goverment know about it and it said you could do it online. But I could not find where to do that... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Question: My buddy has a DUAL passport/citizenship US/UK and wants to stay in Thailand for around 90 days but also wants to be able to hop around to Malaysia and or/ Myanmar, what would be the best visa option for him?

Thanks in advance!

I had planned on making a visa run to Myanmar next week but discover the van service has been discontinued. So I guess the other option is a "do it youself" trip on public buses.

I already have one visa extension on my original 30 day visa stamp. It didn't used to be possible to buy a second extension but have rules changed?

Thanks for any advice.

Anyone do the Mae Sai Border run recently?

My question is: do I need proof of 20k, onward flight, hotel reservation, and or anything else?

Or is it just get to the border, pay the $10 or 500 baht to Burma, have a look at the market and return to Thailand for the 30 day exempt?

Cheers.
