I assume proof of finances cannot include investments (for example a stocks and shares account).

I’m therefore planning to transfer some over to my bank account - is this fine?

I have heard mixed reviews as to how long the finances need to have been there.

Hello, it is possible to show the investment account for financial proof for 500k THB? or better I move my money from the investment to saving account ? Do they accept if I do that in one transection? Thanks 🙏🏼

Hello, I have a question about the 500000 THB financial requirement. Has anyone been approved or know of someone who’s been approved with funds that were recently transferred? The funds I submitted were 3 months worth, but in an investment account, which I realized isn’t acceptable. I just transferred the funds to my checking account and plan to send this documentation once they hit. I’d like to know if this is sufficient. Applying from the Jakarta embassy.

Hello everyone,

I am a bit stuck on a technical beaurocracy and would appreciate your help.

I would like to apply for a soft power DTV, but regarding the financial requirements, the 500k is currently in an investment account and not a bank savings account.

I contacted the embassy in Taipei asking if it will suffice, and while they did not give me a clear "no", they said a savings account is preferable.

Now I'm debating whether to go ahead with it, or transfer the cash to a savings account and delay application by 3 months.

I would love to hear your opinions. Thanks in advance everyone

Hello everyone I have a technical question regarding the $$ requirements. Suppose one has proof ofbthe 500K for the previous 6 months, however it is not kept in a "classic" bank account per se, but rather in an investment account in a well established financial firm.

Can anyone see any issue that might arise during visa approval process?

Alternatively, is there any benefit in transferring the $ to a "classic" bank account? Obviously in the recipient account there will not be statements of 6 months but rather a month or so.

Thanks
