HiQuestion DTV Visa (work cation)I’m thinking to apply for Worcation DTV Visa.

I have more than 30.000+ euro’s (100.000 THB) in savings and more in investment accounts. I do not have any recurring income yet though. My investment portfolio + savings is enough to support myself for foreseeable future. I’m starting a business, I have a website, store, social media accounts etc. Will this be enough or will they require to see income?

Under requirements should be enough but I also read a lot of posts where they asked freelancers for 3-6 months of income etcUnder requirements:

1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document

2. Photograph taken within the last six months

3. Document indicating current location (e.g., valid visa, receipt(s)/proof(s) of payment of airline tickets or accommodation, etc.)

4. Financial evidence: an amount of no less than 500,000 THB, (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsor letter)

5 Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the Worcation DTV Visa requirements for digital nomads in Thailand, particularly regarding financial proof. They have significant savings and investments but no recurring income. The query also seeks clarification on whether investment accounts are accepted as part of the 500,000 THB financial criteria. Comments from the community suggest that consulates prefer bank account balances for the 500,000 THB requirement and emphasize the importance of providing comprehensive documentation to demonstrate financial viability and support despite having no income.

They want to see how you can support yourself.

And having a good application with explanations and documentations is good.

I applied with a contract starting after my application date, but i showed pension income the last year that i still would keep after my freelance work had started.

I also showed portfolio, business registration etc.

Was approved with no problems.

They really like easy to read, good applications with good documentations and explanations.

Underline and mark important things, and explain it in coverletter can be good

100k is not enough anyway, has to be 500k

Most consulates won't accept investment accounts, the 500k baht should be in a bank account

THis is what I did. I set up an LLC for $50. Three months prior to applying, I started sending $2,000 from one account to another account where I already had 30K USD. Three months later, I requested that Gemini build a portfolio for my app development company. I applied with the bank account, my LLC certificates, and the portfolio that Gemini created. THey asked for my resume. I applied at the Chicago consulate. Was approved after two weeks.

New online businesses with no current income have been approved for the DTV. You need to show how you will support yourself not inc. the 500k.
