Hello all. I am relocating to Thailand in Aug(24) specifically and planned to get a Non O 90 days to start my yearly retirement visa (over 50).

I have just started the online visa today because I did not want to do it too early before my travels. When doing the application, I was not aware of me having to need 800k thb in my accounts back home for 3 months.

I have enough money in my accounts, I just need to move some around between my investment account, etc. Which I planned to do asap as well.

Can I upload my brokerage investment accounts showing cash in there?

Or can I not get the Non O this time and have to go in as exemption?

Then have to leave again to try the process again :/

Any help would be appreciated.
Answer summary
The user is applying for a 90-day Non-O visa for retirement in Thailand and is uncertain about the requirement of showing 800,000 THB in their account for three months. They inquire if brokerage investment accounts can be used for documentation, based on varying advice from community members about acceptable forms of financial proof and requirements for submitting bank statements.

For approximately $800 any visa agent in Thailand will be able to facilitate a 15 month retirement visa for you.

With ZERO money in bank account, that is!

There is no requirement that the total amount of the funds be in the bank for 3 months before you apply for the visa.

The requirement is you submit 3 months of bank statements and that the required funds are in the account when you submit the application

I had my bank (PNC) give me a letter showing I had the funds in the bank and it was sufficient enough to get the Non-O visa.

Do you have regular income because of your 3 month bank statements show income of at least 65k Baht per month that will be accepted while you move your investments which will be needed to transfer to Thailand for your extension?

Non-Immigrant visas are valid for 3 months from the date they're issued <- meaning you have that long to ENTER thailand once the visa is issued to you via email. You can apply a couple months early no issue at all

You don't need the 800K or the equivalent in the bank for 3 months in your country you need 3 months of bank STATEMENTS and you have to show 800K or the equivalent in the account when you apply

Whether you can use a brokerage account or not I don't know, upload it and they'll send you a request for more documentation if they won't accept it

You might as well apply for the 90 day Non-O and see how it goes

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was caught off guard by needing to show it in my checking this early. I was thinking of making a trip to the local office to ask but i wasn't sure if I applied, I would lose money to get denied for showing my brokerage and not checking account.
