Do I need to show proof of a flight and accommodation for my DTV application to Thailand?

I am just about to submit my DTV and pay the fee but one brain worm I need help with for my own sanity is this....

Do you need to have valid proof a flight booked from where you are.. in my case Australia to Thailand within 90 days and accomodation booked + paid for.. even if they take too long to give a decision or they decline you?

I mean seems kind of rough to me if you paid for all this stuff, and you can't even enter the country I exhausted my 90 day stay this year already from 60 days + 30 day extension from general tourist visa.

Please help me I am having a nervous breakdown here... 600 AUD is a stretch for this.

I believe only the UK embassy insist on an e-ticket for your intended flight

There are so many refundable hotels you can book without paying, and then cancelling, also can book refundable flight tickets.🙄 Or you can just wait in Australia until next year and do another 90 days, that wait you will avoid a nervous breakdown. The approval is not guaranteed anyway🤷‍♂️

Also accomodation, you can put a hotel or condo you might stay at…. Australia hasn’t had many if any reports of making people actually buy flights before granting the visa.

Yes, I booked a fully refundable flight and hotel. I got the visa then cancelled those and went in on a different flight.
