# DTV from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Hello,

My questions:

1. Do I submit the application only online, or also in person at the embassy in Kuala Lumpur? Or this, or this?

2. Is the current bank statement from the last 3 or 6 months confirming the amount of 500,000 baht?

3. Do I have to be physically present in Malaysia (if online)?

Hi there! I applied for the DTV as Spanish citizen on December 30. On January 15 I got requested more documents. Today January 26 I was about to answer.

Some of the docs they request, like bank statements for last 3 months, I had already provided them initially to my application. Or "a concise overview of your professional activities during your stay in Thailand".

I already provided a cover letter explaining all (Remote Software Engineer).

I will upload same docs again.

BUT additionally, they request me the flight ticket to Thailand, which I didn't buy it yet because before purchasing any flight I wanted to have the DTV accepted. Only then spend more money in a flight.

WHAT should I do in this case? What do I attach? I ignore it? I attach a short letter telling that I will purchase the flight once my DTV is granted?

P.S. It's not even clear to me when I will move to Thailand. If I get the Visa granted, I plan to go before June, but in my application I put end of February. If they deny my DTV (though they shouldn't as I meet the requirements), I'm not buying a flight for the moment.

UPDATE:

With the help from my gym, my visa has been approved.

It turns out that they ask for the 5 star gym certification from every Muay Thai DTV applicant. And they are VERY picky with all other supporting documents too. I would recommend not doing it in Taipei if you can do it elsewhere.

—————————————————————

Applying DTV through Muay in Taipei. They are asking further documents I don’t know how to provide, can anyone kindly advice thanks.

In my application I stated that I’ve retired but they are asking for proof of employment. I have submitted proof that I still have income and they’ve accepted that.

My Muay Thai gym is telling me it’s impossible to get the letter. The gym is registered with the sports authority of Thailand.

How can I get around these two? Thanks.

I spoke to an agent in Pattaya last week who told me that they’re stopped doing DTVs as they’re checking people so much and people being refused entries etc

Another agent told me they’re good to go for 95-100k Baht and enrollment into a cooking course is all that is needed and border runs or immigration stamp every 6 months

Anyone had one for a long time doing a cooking course or similar and not had/had any issues?
