Hi, as a UE citizen I tried to get DTV soft power muay thai in Hanoi and got rejected. I was wondering what I did wrong but didn't receive any information even if I asked a few times via email. It was two months ago. In September I'm going for a trip to Jeju Island in South Korea. Has anyone tried to do the DTV soft power in the Thai Embassy in Seoul not being a Korean citizen? I would appreciate it if anyone would share their story.

You can only apply in Korea if you are Korean citizen or resident there. Entering as tourist they will not process your DTV

Anonymous participant 788 Tourists can apply in Korea. Japan and Korea used to restrict tourists from applying but both now allow tourists to apply

snwovh Tourists can apply in Korea and you can find posts from some tourists approved in Seoul in the threads. " foreign nationals entered South Korea with (K-ETA), an entry stamp/ sticker upon arrival who wish to apply for Thai visa must submit his/her application through the new online E-Visa platform" Seoul Thai Embassy

From what I have been reading about and watching about DTV .. getting one is hard … you may need to go back to your home country and apply from there …

depends case-to-case. Also, soft power DTV different from workation DTV. I'd advise paying and hiring reputable agency, will turn out cheaper then traveling home to do your own application again.
