I have a BOI-Visa which will be cancelled from the Company in January. I already have a new Remote-Job, where i can start working soon. Is it easy now to apply for DTV-Visa ? Its needed to leave Thailand ? Its possible just to change my Visa and Work Permit to the new Company which is in Europe ?
Hello everyone, I am an Australian and recently got married to a Thai. I am planning to go to Penang, Malaysia for 2-3 months and getting the first 90 day marriage visa, before returning to Thailand to get the yearly extension.
I was looking at form 12 - NON-IMMIGRANT VISA (O) FOR DEPENDANT on [members only] but noticed on section 8.3 (see attached) that you need a bank statement for the last 6 months with 400k THB in a Thai bank account. I suspect this may be for the 1 year visa, but I can't find the checklist on the requirements for the 90-day visa like there is for the Laos requirements on [members only].
What I wanted to do was go to Penang, get the single entry 90 day marriage visa, go back to Thailand, open a bank account, and deposit the money from my Australian bank into the Thai bank, then renew it in Thailand for 1 year. Can someone please confirm if this is possible to do in Penang, or if I will need to go to Laos (or another near-by country) for the initial 90 day marriage visa. All the information seems to be geared towards the 1 year extension and would love to clarify what is needed before getting to that step.
I currently have a one-year extension to a non-O Visa (based on retirement criteria) which expires in July 2023.
I would like to be able to apply for a work Visa, and would need to change from a "retirment non-O" to a "marriage non-O". I am married to a Thai national, so I satisfy the "marriage criteria".
I was wondering whether there is any way to change from "retirment criteria" to "marriage criteria" without having to wait for the expiry of the visa extension in July 2023. Any way this could be achieved via a "border run" or any other means?
I am a Canadian citizen, so technically I can could re-enter Thailand "visa exempt" and then restart the Visa application process. But as far as I know, its not possible to get stamped-in Visa exempt on re-entry if you already have a Visa.
Quick question....if I have a non B multiple entry visa and I want to move to a retirement visa can I do that by not having to leave the country and if so how. TIA
