TLDR : Answer Summary
It is not possible to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) while in Thailand on a tourist visa. Visitors can enter Thailand on a tourist visa for up to 60 days, but must then leave Thailand and apply for the DTV from a neighboring country, such as Cambodia. The application process must be done from outside Thailand, and applicants must remain in the country of application until the visa is approved.

You can but the agent fees are high and you will have to fly out of the country for a few days while they finish it.

Not sure how you can run out of time.

But if you’ve planned something poorly, you can come and then prepare to stay a week or 2 in a neighbouring country to get your DTV

You can't apply from Thailand and must remain in the country of application until approval. Running out of time is a result of poor planning, which you'll have to accept.

Of course, it's true! It's even written on the official website. I’d definitely suggest checking the DTV conditions before telling me I'm wrong. People are being asked for location proof and interviews.

Great, you did things wrong and got lucky—that's all. Plenty of people will tell you they had issues doing what you did, and many others were interviewed and asked for proof of location.

Anonymer Teilnehmer 531 Yes, proof of location WHEN you apply, right? But after application you can move?

You can move but can't go to Thailand until approved. Interviews can be requested and if moved too early, you'll need to fly back.

You can come on a tourist visa for 60 days then leave and apply from another country where you must stay during processing of application.

You can not apply in Thailand for the DTV. You can come on a TV and then go to a nearby country and apply.
