Hi guys

I am already half a year in Thailand.

I have a BOI-Visa which will be cancelled from the Company in January. I already have a new Remote-Job, where i can start working soon. Is it easy now to apply for DTV-Visa ? Its needed to leave Thailand ? Its possible just to change my Visa and Work Permit to the new Company which is in Europe ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user currently holds a BOI visa which will be canceled in January. They have secured a new remote job with a European company and are inquiring about the process for applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand and whether leaving the country is required. A comment suggests that the European company must establish a Thai entity for the user to obtain a visa and work permit with them, and recommends canceling the existing extension and work permit, exiting Thailand, and then applying for the DTV visa, which is designated for remote work.

The European company would have to set up a Thai entity for you to get a visa and work permit with them. When your ready cancel your existing extension and work permit, leave Thailand to a nearby country and apply for the DTV. That visa is for remote work, there's also an LTR visa for remote work under the BOI, it has much higher requirements but does have tax benefits
