Samui Immigration on Retirement Visa. 1. Get the 16 point handout from the office. Be sure to use their forms and not those available from the internet, viz TM.7. TM.8 and the STM.2
2. Your ID photos must be in colour and be taken within the last 6 months.
3. For multiple entry Visa your cost will be 6000 Baht
4. Once you hand your documents to the “Lady” you will be told to report back in the afternoon. On your second visit she will examine your documents. If they are in order she will again make copies of your passport on the office copier, (could be something to do with the orientation of the page relative to the copy page.)
5. Next you will be asked for 6000 Baht, no receipt will be given, just relax and smile.
6. You may then be told to report back in 3 days to collect your passport.
7. Put on a cheerful sad smile and clasping your hands together ( wai) ask if it’s at all possible to collect the next day because you have traveled from far.
8. Do your 3rd visit the next day after lunch( remember lunch is between 12 and 1 pm ) , smile nicely and the friendly lady on the left ( as you enter) will produce your passport with new Visa.
9. Relax for 365 days and repeat above.
10. Report every 90 days unless you leave Thailand, on your return start counting again.
Could anyone tell me what form I complete for an ED visa. The forms on the thai embassy site don't seem to have info about this type of visa. I have all the relevant paperwork prepared by my language school just need to know what form to complete to take with these to the embassy in hanoi.
