TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a NON-O visa in Thailand, the primary form to fill out is the TM7. Depending on the specific purpose of your visa application, you may also need forms TM86 or TM87, especially if your application is related to marriage or family. It’s advisable to visit the immigration office for the correct forms and further assistance. Additionally, some expats recommend using an agent to simplify the application process, though fees may vary by location and service.

20,000 THB (minimum) is hardly "nothing"

not sure where you got this information from. The agent I have used for the last 8 years charges 5000. That includes 90 day report and 1 year extension. Takes care of everything, rarely have to go to immigration myself

TM7 is an application form for an extension.

@Stuart ********
Which is what a Non O is!
Stuart *********
No it isn’t. It’s a visa obtained in country and gives you 3 months to stay. After that you use a TM7 to apply for an extension.
