Hey folks! I'm going to be re entering via Chiang Mai immigration. I'll bring printed bank statements, proof of income/examples of work, and an explanation of my work. What other documents have you been asked for upon entry with dtv as a freelancer or remote worker? What could I be forgetting? Thanks!
Answer summary
When re-entering Thailand via Chiang Mai as a freelancer or remote worker, it's crucial to bring specific documents to ensure a smooth entry. Some essential documents include printed bank statements, proof of income, an explanation of your work, and a DTV (Digital Work Visa) printout. Additional recommended documents consist of your rental agreement or hotel booking, a return ticket or onward travel plan, and the last three months of bank statements or invoices that reflect your income. Having client contracts or a portfolio available can also be beneficial. A checklist of required documents can help prevent forgetting essential paperwork.

For Chiang Mai re entry they are usually easy but it is good you bring those papers. Officers like to see DTV print, passport, and something that shows your remote work is real. Your bank statements and proof of income plus examples of work and a short letter about what you do is exactly what they want.

Also bring your rental agreement or hotel booking in Thailand, return ticket or onward plan if you have it, and last three months of bank or PayPal or invoices that match your income. If you have client contracts or a simple website that shows your freelance work, keep it open on your phone. Keep all in one folder so you can show fast.

Many freelancers say that having a checklist helps so you do not forget one paper. I found a nice checklist for freelancer entry at Chiang Mai in Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon, it lists bank, work, rental and what officers usually ask. It can help you feel ready for smooth entry.

I wasn’t asked anything. Are you applying for one or already have one approved?

OP
already have, just re-entering and have only done that in BKK before. I heard CM is more strict so I'm trying to gauge what people have been asked, among those who have been questioned.
