Sorry if stupid question, but I am looking at applying for the 90 day visa (I think Non O?) and then once in Thailand look at opening a bank account and getting the retirement visa (from what people say here, its easier and you don't need to buy the insurance as when you apply for it in your home country). The Thai website prior to recently changing over to the new e-visa website had information about it, but from what I see the new e-visa website doesn't mention it at all? The only option they list for non-o is the o-a and o-x. All I have seen online says you apply for a 60 day visa and then extent for 30 days in Thailand, which seems pointless given that we (Aussie) from 15/7/24 will get a 60 day visa exempt? Has the 90 day non o been removed?

After receiving 90 day Non-o visa, do you have to remain in the country for the entire 90 days until you receive your one year extension?

Second 90 day visa? At the end of our visa we plan to go back to Thailand and reapply for a second 30 or 90 day visa. Is this permitted?

For our Russian members please be aware that although you are currently allowed a 90 day entry stamp, this entry stamp cannot be extended. Nor can the entry be changed to any other visa type or extension. If you were planning to apply for an education visa, or a Non O for example you would need to ask the immigration officer to stamp you in for the “regular” 30 day visa waiver stamp rather than the current 90 day stamp.

I go to Thailand tomorrow on a non immigrant 90 day visa based on retirement. My visa has to be utilised by 4th October.

To get a year extension, do I have to apply on or before the 4th of October, or before my 90 days expire on 11th December.?

If you don't have 400k baht in the bank two months before you require a 12 month marriage extension, can you extend for 60 via a family extension before applying for your 12 month extension to give the 400k time to season, or is that 60 day family extension the final extension permitted meaning you'll need to apply for a new 90 day non o?

Also, is there any minimum balance required throughout the year on a marriage visa extension like there is for a retirement visa extension?

Has anyone recently applied for a non o visa based on marriage from the Thai embassy in London, if so did you need to show £10,000 in your account for three months for a single entry. Many thanks in advance.

I will get my non o visa stamp early July, which will be valid for 90 days. I understand that I can then apply for the 12 month extension based on retirement 30 days before the non o visa expires. Do you get the extension stamp put in your passport the same day you put the TM7 application form and docs in (as with just a 30 day extension) or do you have to go back to immigration again a few days before the non o visa expires to get the stamp? Thanks very much

Hello and thank you in advance for your help. We arrived on a Non-0 90 day single entry visa based on retirement. We have opened bank accounts in order to season the money and apply for the 1 year extension. Unfortunately my husband has to leave the country for a week prior to his 60 days being up. Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for a re-entry permit or does he have to start the whole process over again (apply for a second Non-0) Again many thanks.

I came here on a 90 day visa waiver - Brazil passport gets 90 days visa free.

It’s expiring April 7, can I get a free 30 days extension? Are they also giving still 2 month Covid extensions?
