Can stocks be considered for the 500k baht requirement?

Context: I have about 7k USD in my bank account and 40k USD as stocks..

How long does the 500k bhat need to be in your bank account before applying? I don’t see a solid answer on the website. Thanks 🙏

I got my DTV approved this month. I am wondering do I have to maintain 500K baht (equivalent) in the bank throughout the 5 years?

I used to hold retirement visa. When come to renewing the visa, I need to present bank statement for the entire year.

Good day, looking at the requirements of 500k baht (or sponsorship letter) - what does the sponsorship letter entail? Can I for example get a letter from my father (who lives in Thailand) and give bank statements of his showing substantially more than the required 500k baht?

Effectively saying that he will support me while I am here? Would this be acceptable? Any feedback would be appreciated

Hi all,

Regarding the 500K Baht, can it be from multiple bank accounts / institutions ? I don't leave all my cash in 1 account. I can show the consulate bank statements.

Any freelance photographer in this group? Do we show our work portfolio, publication...etc?

If my application get rejected, when can I re-apply and does it affect anything,

Thanks for your help! 🙏

Does it matter how the 500k Baht is stored on application of the DTV? If I have it within a mutual fund, 401k or an ETF account, would that be acceptable?

Hi, I have a question about the 500k baht requirement for Canadians. I'm sorry if this has been asked already (I couldn't find anything specifically addressing this).

Do funds within a Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) satisfy this requirement? I've read that "Investment" accounts through a brokerage won't work but in this case, I have a single TD Bank account that shows my usual Chequing/Savings accounts but also my TFSA and RRSP.

Thank you for any insight!
