What would be the best way to start working on a 90 day tourist visa before I leave my home country (USA) for Thailand? Should I apply on the official website for the 30 day extension (60 days total), or should I not worry about it and simply use a visa agency once I land?

I did see on the official website they required exit flight information for the 60 day period and since I planning for the 90 day total, I wanted to ask here before purchasing anything.

Thanks!

Hi feeling unsure. We plan to get a 60 day visa Laos then extend 30 days. Then do border bounce at Ranong and extend further 30 days after that so total 4 months. Is that possible? I get confused with the border bounce / land entry etc. Thanks 🙏

Arrived Dec 31st on a 60 day visa

We planned on renewing our visa the first week in February as I was told you could renew it within 30 days of it expiring. And we will be in Phuket then

As our next stop is Lanta then Lipe

How do you think any new rules will apply. We are vaxed with two boosters. We have health insurance through my employer

We also have our return ticket for March 29th

Suprise suprise, the 60 day covid extension has been, wait for it... Extended again. This time it has only been extended another 30 days however, so the last day to apply for the 60 day covid extension is August 24th.

If we have the multi entry visa and we arrive back just few days before the 6 months are over, do we still get 60 days or only until the end of the 6 months?

Has anyone had any issues getting another 60 day Covid Exemption stamp? I've heard rumours that this is the last month and Thailand will not extend after March 26th if your previous visa before the pandemic was a Non-B visa. What are your experiences?

Just completed my 60 day extension based on family/marriage at Chiang Mai Immigration. Was excellent service, the officer (women) was exceptional there. Kind, informative and smart. She told me to come backk closer to the end of my covid visa (expiration) to get more time. The day you apply is when the 60 days start (change of visa).

Needed:

-TM30

-Passport copies (info page, tm6, thai visas)

-Copy of wife's ID card and house book (tambien baan)

-Passport style Photo 4cmĂ—6cm

-Copy of Marriage certificate and yearly up (**edit: only need original marriage certificates, no need to update)to date page kor 2 or 3 they call it.

That's it.

No family photos, no lease contract, no other miscellaneous documents. Definitely the best option for short extensions when married to a thai citizen.
