What would be the best way to start working on a 90 day tourist visa before I leave my home country (USA) for Thailand? Should I apply on the official website for the 30 day extension (60 days total), or should I not worry about it and simply use a visa agency once I land?
I did see on the official website they required exit flight information for the 60 day period and since I planning for the 90 day total, I wanted to ask here before purchasing anything.
Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 90-day tourist visa for Thailand, you must apply for it before traveling from the USA. The only way to secure 90 days as a tourist is by applying for a visa via the Thai embassy or consulate in the USA; otherwise, you'll only receive a 60-day visa on arrival. It is advisable to visit the official Thai online e-visa site to find the appropriate embassy or consulate and follow the application procedures.
