Follow-up question: would an American applying in Taipei have to provide IRS tax documents and other nonsense? Seems applying in USA has tons of extra document nonsense like IRS tax documents, but do Americans applying from other consulates or embassy’s (ie Taiwan, Cambodia, etc.) have to provide it?

I've planned my stay to be in the country for 59 days

Understanding the entry visa is 60 days

However immigration has stamped my passport for 58 day allowance

The stamp says 30th Sept to 28th Nov

EDIT

Can I apply for the 30 day extension now or must I wait closer to the end date? Is there a restricted time frame?

Hello everyone! I’ve not been working for the past year (took time out to travel) and have just started a new remote job. I will have all the required documents as well as 500k THB in the bank for 6 months, however I’m worried that as I have just started this new job that I could run into trouble. Would an employment contract with a recent start date be problematic? Do they want to see evidence of being paid for the last x months in the bank statements? I know this probably differs between embassies but just wanted to see if anyone has been in a similar situation?

Question Re: Timing of 30 Day Visa Extension

If we enter on the 60-Day visa exemption and want to apply for 30/day extension, can we apply any time (ie, shortly after we arrive)?

Does the 30 days get added to the end of the 60-days, no matter when you apply? Or do we need to wait until near the end of our initial 60-day period?

I hope my question makes sense.

TIA!

Hello all

All the posts and advice have been very helpful. Thanks to all.

I’ve come to Thailand on a DTV and need medical, eye, and dental insurance. I live in Ekkamai-Thonglo Bangkok if that makes a difference knowing.

Many thanks in advance

Hi, I want to ask. I an currently holding non B visa. My 90 days report is due to 14 October but I plan to leave the country for good on the 21 October. Is it necessary to do 90 days or it should be fine if I skipped it cause within a week I will leave anyway.

Please kindly advise 🙂

Has anyone applied via E-Visa from USA recently? My friend said they’re asking for IRS tax returns and that it takes months, but not sure if that’s the case. I’d apply through the Los Angeles consulate.

I was not aware I could get a re-entry stamp on my recent departure from Phuket International. The immigration officer let me know. My 1 year non imm multi entry expired in September and I was inside Thailand on the last set of days allowed to me. I presumed that it was all cancelled when I left this last time.

Question: Can I go in and out until the 30th of November and just pay the re-entry fee each time. I work in Singapore.

Hi everyone 👋

How long can I hold this visa without traveling to Thailand?

I have heard that there is a requirement to enter Thailand within three months of the visa being issued, otherwise the visa will be canceled.

Could you please confirm if this is accurate the specific time frame within which I must enter Thailand to keep the visa valid?
